THEATRE PRODUCTION ARTS

The appeal that theatre production has to me is that it allows you to create a complete and often intangible experience out of nothing. As an artist in this field, I thrive off of the perpetual variety and the fact that there are no complete failures as you are forever learning from your mistakes and next time you won't get the contact cement that eats through foam!
The first show I ever worked on was "Little Shop of Horrors" and it was the perfect introduction into the
delightfully weird world of theatre. Since then I've attended university for professional training and upon
graduating have had the opportunity to apprentice at the Banff Centre for the Arts and be involved with many
projects in Alberta and other provinces. I have recently made the move to Toronto and have been working
at expanding my skill set in the areas of props, scenic paint, design, and costumes. I have also become
increasingly interested in the areas of multimedia, physical and puppetry centered theatre; I hope to become a
part of productions employing these devices in the future.
My interests outside of theatre include a whole lot of reading, live music, experimenting with art media,
embarking on my first play writing challenge, true crime, learning about the old and the strange, and travelling.
